UK State Pension age is 66 and starts rising to 67 from 6 April 2026, reaching 67 for everyone born on or after 6 March 1961 by 2028. People born between 6 April 1960 and 5 March 1961 have a transitional age between 66 years 1 month and 66 years 11 months. A further rise to 68 is legislated for 2044 to 2046 for those born on or after 6 April 1977, though a government review (findings expected around 2029) could change that date.
